REGIONAL FINALS 2020
On the 31st of January Aquila Racing competed in the East Anglia Regional finals. We came away as the professional class champions. This was the first year we have ever came away with a top podium spot and we are very proud of how our team performed. Here we secured our spot at the national finals 2020 at the Areospace museum in Bristol.
NATIONAL FINALS 2019
As a team, Aquila unfortunately did not attend the national finals in 2019. However, Cobra Racing, Aylsham Highs other development class team at the time, did and invited three of Aquila's members to join them in their quest to nationals. Whilst at the National finals at the AIRBUS A380 factory, Cobra Racing did not win any awards but we learnt a huge amount, that we intend to use to our advantage this year. Our aim is to return to the nationals again this year and show them what Aquila's got!
REGIONAL FINALS 2019
The East Anglia regional finals 2019 was Aquila's most memorable competition to date. We were awarded 3rd place in the development class, fastest car award and best engineered car. Within this year we also re-branded the team and transformed from previous 'Aquila 6' to the Aquila we are today. As a team we feel this was the year we started to develop a team identity that we were all proud of. Even though Aquila did not make it to nationals this year we were still extremely proud of what we had achieved.
REGIONAL FINALS 2018
Aquila 6 was formed in 2017 and first competed at the regional finals in 2018. In this year we were a part of the entry class. We were very proud in 2018 to bring home our first trophy 'Best Pit Display Award'. We gained so much knowledge from these finals which we still are using today.
